God uses many different signs
you know, God is an awesome God. i know this may sound like a cheesy way of saying how great He is but sometimes the cheesy phrase is the best phrase there is. God has shown me a couple of things tonight.
1. He can use any event to glorify, and show Himself.
2. no matter the size of the sign, God will reveal Himself.
when i came home from church tonight, my parents were watching the 10 o'clock news and they were showing the funeral of the 6th grader that died because of injuries from the church van wreck last week. through just a one minute-segment of video, it showed how this 6th grader effected a community. not only was the kid not involved with a clique or group at school, he made sure everyone around him was loved and cared for.
but, the coolest thing was towards the end. after the coach of the rec football team said this 6th grader was sitting in heaven right now with no worries or pain, the news reporter came on and said since he was an organ donor, his organs saved the lives of 5 other people in the matter of a couple of days. i thought this was awesome because not only did the kid show God's love through his everyday life, he was able to spread joy and comfort with his own organs.
this to me really spoke out to me. this shows God's grace is everywhere and can be seen through anyone that loves Him and has Him in their heart.
i strive to have that effect on anyone i come in contact with. whether be the work place or at my home. this 6th grader from Liberty, SC has really inspired me tonight and i wanted to share it!
also i was reading a blog that spoke out to me saying to check my priorities. instead of this person getting their point across, they got His point across. seems like my priorities are way off right now.

so i just got on facebook and saw that chris created a blog and it made me want to start one myself. so i give all the credit to chris and hopefully i will keep posting and not be an one and done thing.
as i sit here i was thinking that it would be a cool idea to write down some of my thoughts between now and april, when i leave to go to basic training for the navy in great lakes, ill. i figured this could be my venting area and maybe for some people to post some encouraging, or not so encouraging words... we'll see.
